Hope everyone had a nice day.

I went to Sands Road Park first thing this morning and managed to
relocate the Vesper Sparrow that Hans found yesterday. It flushed
from the grassy meadow with a Savannah Sparrow and was soon joined in
flight by an Eastern Meadowlark. I was unable to relocate the
Lincoln's Sparrow that Hans had yesterday near the parking lot.
Still, I started the day out quite pleased. Loads of Yellow-rumps,
Palms and Phoebes, along with one CAPE MAY working the tree line on
the Southern edge of the park.

Later in the afternoon, I had an appointment in Gambrills.
Afterwards, I dropped by the Naval Academy Dairy Farm and for just a
few minutes, I enjoyed watching hundreds and hundreds of Tree Swallows
and Chimney Swifts flying over the farm fields. They filled the sky
from one end to the other. It was quite a sight. I'd be interested
to see where this roost is, as I'd bet watching as these swifts go to
roost for the evening would be quite spectacular. And one migrant
American Kestrel passed over while I was there as well... a nice
bonus.

Good Birding,
