Hi All,

Had our first White-throated sparrows yesterday here. I suspect that the
Juncos are not too far behind. Our resident Cooper's hawk continues to
wreak havoc amongst the passerine population.

The Winter Finch forecast report from Ontario for 2009-10 indicated that we
would have hardly any irruptions this year. I hope not, as I really enjoyed
the hundreds of Pine Siskins we had last year. They hung around our thistle
feeders 'till May!

So I promise to behave myself on the listserv this go-round. No
controversial topics or opinions, just birds, birds and more birds.
Seriously. Huh? What's that? I see you chuckling over there in the corner.
no really.
