What an absolutely gorgeous late morning at Cromwell. After all the rain of alte, just walking in the warmth and sun was enough. But there were some birds too, tho not a ton of species. Lots of sparrow activity, especially around the bridge. 5 species--but nothing unusual. A ton of rc kinglets--and maybe a dozen gc kinglets (many around the maple tree near the bridge). Couple of phoebes. A small wren that turned out to be a House Wren. About a half dozen Palm Warblers--all of them brilliantly colored, a real treat. Quite a few yr warblers, a single C Yellowthroat. A single junco. Best bird for me: Blue Headed Vireo (2)--close views, what a cool bird.
