I enjoyed a much needed break at lunchtime to sort through today's gull flock at Schoolhouse Pond.  Numbers were again high and there were significantly more Herring Gulls present today.  Total numbers were over 1,300 Laughing Gulls, 38 Ring-billed Gulls, 58 Herring Gulls, and 1 1st winter Lesser Black-backed Gull.  I still haven't seen any other hooded gull species mixed in with the Laughing Gulls this week, but the continued large numbers of gulls has been exciting.
