Slightly off-topic, but...

Does anyone on the list have some ideas or suggestions for deterring /
removing feral cat populations? I have 3-7 cats at any given time
prowling the back yard for birds. My Golden Retriever simply can't
keep up. The neighbor feeds them, which I've spoken to him about...
to no avail. "These cats don't eat birds."

I thought about at the very least throwing catnip around the yard to
distract the cats once they begin to stalk, thereby alerting the
birds. I'd welcome any thoughts or suggestions.

On topic: Greenbury Point has become the Annapolis areas defacto
leashless dog park. The dogs run wild all over the point, while their
owners stroll on the trail. It is particularly frustrating during the
breeding season, but there is little that can be done about it. The
dog waste, at times, can be all over the trails on the point. But,
compared to the fisherman spots, and their dozens and dozens of empty
rusting beer cans, plastic, debris, etc... I suppose it's not so bad.
