A coworker and I opted to drive to SPSP at lunch today. The Brant were immediately visible upon entering the parking lot. They're multiplying. There were nine of them. They were loosely associated with the Canada Geese there. Also present were one Dunlin and three Black-bellied Plovers. We didn't have enough time to do a thorough job of scanning the gull flock but nothing obviously different from Ring-billed, Herring, Laughing and Great Black-backed were present. I was amazed that the round trip was just over an hour and 15 as traffic was quite light.
