While waiting for lacquer to dry I made a short trip to Piney Run Park. Between 1-2 PM the Brandt that Bob Ringler found yesterday was still present. When I first arrived I only found coots, Mallards and a few C. Geese by the boat piers, so I walked over towards the gazebo and scannned some more. Then I finally found it, appearing suddenly out in open water beyond the piers and swimming my way. Back to the deck for some digi-scopeing, then I watched it for awhile as it climbed onto lland by the gazebo to feed. Then home again in less than an hour. Also on the lake were Pied-billed Grebes, and Ruddy Ducks.

I saw no feral cats or off-leash dogs while I was there :-)
