I checked the lake at 7:00 and 8:30 this morning but did not see the female
Surf Scoter.  There were 4 female Buffleheads, 3 Ruddy Ducks (new arrivals),
and 2 Double-crested Cormorants hanging out in the middle of the deepest
part of the lake.

By the way, the scoter was species #132 for my Greenbelt Lake list, which I
think is pretty good for a dinky little lake just outside the Capital
Beltway.
