I made my way over to Blackwater yesterday afternoon arriving about 3:30 or so and did find the two HUDSONIAN GODWITS in Pool 5C along with Greater Yellowlegs and Black-bellied Plovers.

Another nice fellow and I then raced back to the Visitor's Center to find the Avocet. The gates get closed at 4 p.m. but we stayed anyway and did find the Avocet along with many Dunlins. Luckily the sun was getting lower and the Avocet was easy to see.

Lovely, lovely afternoon but much too short.
