Tom Field, his wife Geraldine, Bill Hubick, and myself birded
Assateague and Ocean City Inlet today. Highlights include:

Assateague ORV Zone

American Wigeon -- one bird flying north over the ocean
Possible Green-winged Teal -- one bird flying with a scoter flock!
White-winged Scoter -- 1
Semipalmated Plover -- 1
Lesser Black-backed Gulls -- 8

Ocean City Inlet

Harlequin Duck -- 1 juvenile
Common Eider -- 5 (3 females, 2 imm. males)
Parasitic Jaeger -- 3 birds seen at different times during the five
hour sea watch

The Harlequin was first spotted by Geraldine feeding inside the inlet
close to the rocks at the end of the south jetty. The eiders were
seen sporadically on the south side of the south jetty. They were
frequenting the area close to the rocks on the east side of the rise
on the south jetty. Most of the time they could not be seen.

All the jaegers were seen off the north jetty a good distance off shore.
