This afternoon (11/7) my wife and I saw a number of interesting birds in the area. There was a flock of approximately 200 American Pipits feeding in an alfalfa field as the farmer was mowing it. This field is located on Keymar Road just north of Good Intent Road. There was a juvenile Northern Harrier along Bollinger School Road south of Route 140 and another along Sixes Road. White-crowned Sparrows were in a hedgerow along Sixes Road near Dern Road. We also saw a few Meadowlarks and an American Kestrel along Shriver Road north of Route 140.
