John Dennehy and I spent time at the Town Hill overlook and Dan's Rock today but only logged one SHARP-SHINNED HAWK and one TURKEY VULTURE on a remarkably birdless day. We picked up a second vulture on the highway and two RED-TAILED HAWKS later on Russell Road in Garrett County, but the highlight and target species of the day was a juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE seen as we were heading west out of Frostburg on alternate route 40. We're not sure if it was in Allegany County or Garrett County or both...
