Bill Hubick and I had several interesting birds at Tridelphia Reservoir late this afternoon. It was a different mix of ducks than the ones I saw this morning.
The highlights were RED-THROATED LOON in Howard and SURF SCOTERS in Montgomery . I also had my FOS Common Goldeneyes and Common Mergansers.

Observation date:     11/11/09

Canada Goose     60
American Black Duck     4
SURF  SCOTER       2     Seen from the Greenbridge boat ramp, to the right of the dam, and with Buffleheads.

Hooded Merganser     8
Pied-billed Grebe     1

Other ducks were flying in as it got dark but it was too dark to ID them. I plan to check it again in the morning. I wish we could have also gotten the Red-throated Loon in Montgomery for Bill and the Surf Scoters in Howard for me but maybe that would have been greedy.
