I watched the Hackberry trees clustered along the east edge of the turf
farm and along the towpath until 4 PM. No Orioles seen after midday. I also
walked the southernmost field and hedgerow west of the Sycamore Landing parking
lot. Lots of grapes in the hedgerow. At least 15 Hermit Thrushes calling in
late afternoon, hundreds of Robins and Waxwings. A few Fox Sparrows
singing. Thanks to Phil Davis, Jo Solem, Stan Arnold and the others who searched
today. Paul Woodward did his route downriver from Sycamore Landing today as
well.
