Hi --

Barry and I were driving back from seeing the Ivory Gull at Cape May and,
just as twilight was falling, had a Woodcock buzz across Rt. 404 in front of
the car! (This was a little west of Denton). This was actually the only
Woodcock I've seen in Maryland this year!

There was -- quite by chance -- a Montgomery Bird Club get-together on the
ferry back from Cape May, celebrating that oh-so-cooperative gull. (Not only
did you not need your scope, you really didn't need your binoculars!) MBCers
