Hello Maryland Birders,

One of our largest target sites for Bird Blitz this year was the forested
Youghiogheny Valley in far western Garrett County. This rugged area of the
state presented some challenges to volunteers and Audubon staff as they
counted and mapped target bird species in mountainous terrain along the
Youghiogheny River. Even so, Bird Blitz achieved great coverage of the area
with some even better results for at-risk species. To read the full summary,
