Went to Schoolhouse pond Saturday afternoon, but no rare gulls seen by any of us from 2:30 on, although Fred Shaffer said he saw the (a first year) Glaucous gull at Depot Pond around 1:30 PM. By 3PM, however, Depot Pond was empty of gulls.
I went over to Patuxent River Park around 3:15: beautiful light and still conditions. Lots of gulls, including a nice and close PG county Bonaparte's gull. A few greater black-backeds, but no Lessers. Also 3 drake Hooded Mergs. A beautiful evening before today's storm.
