December Oriole & Larks

An oriole came to my seed feeder today (and has returned several times...must be hungry!). I think it's a Baltimore (a rather rare oriole at any time of the year here in Charles Co.)

Oh, and by the way...last Friday (12/11) I spotted 7 Horned Larks flying over the fields in front of Milton Somers Middle School in La Plata (Charles Co.). HOLAs are another bird rather scarce here in Charles. I remember, though, years ago hearing larks at the same location in springtime...it's nice to know that this species is still around.
