Hi all,
I spent a little time birding in Montgomery County today. I started
by looking for Mike Bowen's Greater White-fronted Geese at Black Hill.
I checked the boat launch, the visitor center, and the 121 bridge, but
didn't see any Greater White-fronted Geese. Best birds were Common
Goldeneye, Redhead, Gadwall, and a Purple Finch (at the visitors
center feeders).

Next I cruised some roads in western MoCo looking for longspurs,
buntings, etc. but came up pretty empty. The biggest groups of birds
feeding along the road were on Elmer School Rd by the Animal Center.
West Offutt was also good.

Finally I stopped at Riley's Lock where I found one Cackling Goose in
the company of 25 Canada Geese. There were just upstream of the lock
and swimming slowly upstream.
