How did you gain access to Assateague Pointe?  It is a gated community and Lee and I were refused entrance when we tried to go there yesterday.

On a more positive note, there was a great cormorant at Castaway's (formerly Eagle's Nest), perched on the Danger marker just southeast of the dock.  A higher-than-normal tide at 8 am provided good views beyond the south jetty at OC Inlet and there were 8+ common eiders and one harlequin duck.
