Happy New Year Everyone,
Mine was off to a great start.
Lets see if i can rewrite this story with as much enthusiam as the one that just got deleted i believe by my banging the computer mouse.

The morning started by watching the birds from the house. After watching for a half hour something started the yard birds and they all took off in different directions. I stuck my head out the window thinking it was one of the neighborhood cats . Dont see any cats but could that have been a hawk that came out of the bush and flew around the other side of the house. Well ill just go out to my car for more bird food and check out the situation . Outside i walk up the street and down the street . hear a few loud sqeaks . I swear they came from this scraggly pine tree right in front of me. i walk around the tree and up and down the street trying for different vantage points. i hear woodpecker knocks. where is that woodpecker . i swear its coming from closeby .walk up the street and down the street . stand right under the very thin scraggly pine tree cant find nothing . Well dont find any woodpecker or hawk so i go back in the house. Sit down at the
computer and stare at the scraggly pine tree . YEP I KNEW IT THERE IT IS YELLOW BELLIED SAPSUCKER . Im going back outside and get a picture . No ill get one thru the windows as he is eye level about 20 feet away . cant believe he wasnt distracted from all my walking around and staring into this tree. i was able to get a couple back shots from out the side bedroom window . Oh hes moving around i can get a side view. Nope he sees me . Down the street he goes . lands about a block away. i sit back at the computer thrilled from the excitement . and guess who came back. Yep YB Sapsucker. obviously getting something out of this raggedy tree. . this is New Yard bird number 47 . Not bad for 6 months i guess .
