I walked the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area Red Trail (high to low) returning on the Orange (Connector) Trail this morning. Most of the time it was very quiet. I only had 4 birds on the first mile . A pocket of birds along the river included Brown Creeper, Hermit Thrush, and Hairy Woodpecker.

The male Common Goldeneye is still at Brighton Dam just south of the dam.
