Hi all,

Did a short walk halfway around Lake Needwood this afternoon.  The usual Canada Geese were present, as were Mallards and a couple of Hooded Mergansers. Most of the lake is still frozen over except for small patches, and a large section near the canoe ramp.  An adult Bald Eagle made a surprise visit, and did a low flyover which the geese did not approve of; loud honking and bunching together. It landed on a big tree and was eating something in its talons.
Everything quieted down after that.
