Our neighbor saw a haawk get one of our Rhode Island Red Chickens this morning. I was not home at the time but this is the second or third time that a hawk has gotten one of our chickens. I imagine it was a red Shouldered Hawk because I wouldn't think a Cooper's Hawk is big enough, and we live in the woods not red-tailed Habitat. I can pretty much rule out Northern goshawk because of its rarity and its year round attacks.
