 I have daffodils, and what I think must be tulips (I planted these back in fall around the mailbox), coming up in beds in the garden A wee bit early for either of these.

Or at least, signs of a good January thaw:
 
.         Great Horned Owls hooting in the woods at the intersection of
iddle Road and Rt. 273 (north of Elkton)
.         A Northern Cardinal singing in Havre de Grace
.         Buds showing white on the snowdrops
.         Buds showing yellow on the witch hazel
.         A salamander in front of the garage (the high temperature was 64
oday)
