This report is provided on behalf of Talbot Bird Club Member Tucker Dalton.

Tucker visited the intersection of Covey's Landing Road and Lewistown Road
in Talbot County around 2:00 this afternoon and found numbers of Lapland
Longspurs substantially exceeding those that have been previously reported.
He found over 20 Longspurs amongst the great numbers of Horned Larks, and
noted that all of the birds were being very cooperative for viewing today.
If passing cars disturbed them enough to make them fly up, they promptly
dropped back down and continued foraging at that site. (It might be noted
that Tucker and I each visited that site a couple of weeks ago and struggled
mightily to find just one Longspur amongst the 300+ Horned Larks that were
there at that time. Things have obviously changed.)
