Earlier today Greg Gough found a Long-tailed Duck down by the railroad  
bridge next to the 14th Street bridge in DC and kindly let me know.  I  
scooted down at rush hour and the duck was still there at 5pm - a  
beautiful adult male. Wish we got more of these in DC.  It was on the  
south side of the railroad bridge about 40 yards out into the  
Potomac.  With the snow coming in I imagine it will stay put until  
tomorrow.  Many thanks Greg!
