Hi Everyone,
At least nine of us were out enjoying birds at the edge of snow on the lower eastern shore on Sunday (31 Jan 2010). Fun day!
Before I go to bed, I wanted to mention one bird that we were surprised to see: a BLUE-HEADED VIREO with a mixed flock on Purnell Crossing Rd in Wicomico County. The location is east of Powellville and about 1 mile west of the Pocomoke River; this is a wooded section of the road with several large hollies. Jim Brighton, Ed Carlson, John Hubbell, Bill Hubick, and I all got to see the bird, and Bill even managed to get some photos.
Have fun,
