Hello Maryland Birders,

During 2009, Bird Blitz surveys were conducted in the Pleasant Valley area
south of Oakland in Garrett County. A creative approach was taken by using a
local newspaper to track down information on breeding pairs of the globally
vulnerable Red-headed Woodpecker. These Bird Blitz surveys led by Fran Pope
