Ah, okay I did manage to get a county list for all species reported ever to
ebird. The total though is well below the totals I'm aware of so there are
still gaps in this approach.

ebird can answer this question and some of the other questions that have
been asked in the last week or two on MDOsprey.

Anyone can see a current list of what species have been seen in each State,
County or specific birding location by visiting ebird.org:

go to:

ebird.org

click :

view and explore data

arrivals and departures

entire state of maryland or the county or birding hot spot you are
interested in seeing.

then change location and go thru each county and see the total number of
birds in each county and a list of those birds, where they were seen and who
saw them first.

This is the arrival list, (when it was first seen).

on that same page, you can click "departures", (when it was last seen),
which might be yesterday.

By playing around on ebird you can get lists of what was seen in the past so
you could guess what to expect next week or next month in specific
locations.

ebird is an amazing resource to see what is being seen from day to day and
where it is being seen. If more people entered data into ebird it would be
even more useful.
