I opened the front door to see what birds were feeding by the garage
door and walkway to the front door. There is a 5 foot overhang that
provides some protection plus 1/2 of the walkway is protected by large
arborvitae. There were about 50 Cardinals, House Sparrows, White throats,
Juncos, Cowbirds, etc.
I happened to glance down and huddled up against the screen door was a
lone Phoebe. I went to another window to get a better look and confirm the
ID. It flew into the arborvitae and perched. Then it flew back to the
base of the door. I know it is hard to judge, but this bird just did not
look well.
