Hi Everyone,

My wife Becky and I decided to drive around a bit on Thursday afternoon instead of submitting to the final stages of Snow Madness. We easily made our way to Kent Island - main roads in Pasadena, as well as Route 50 were fine - and scoped from a few favorite locations. Here are the abridged lists.

Matapeake State Park (Quick scan from the road before the parking lot. Parking lot had not been plowed.)

Greater/Lesser Scaup--4
Surf Scoter--18. Flew by in a few small flocks.

Romancoke Pier

Canvasback--1
Greater Scaup--300. Flock of 410 scaup with all those scrutinized well being Greaters. Left 110 as scaup sp. to account for less than full scrutiny on some of them.
Lesser Scaup--15. Small flock of 15 Lesser Scaup tucked in close to the pier
