Just had a TURKEY VULTURE attempt to land in a tree in our
yard. Its wings got a bit tangled up. It tried
readjusting, lost its grip, fell a bit before grabbing on
with its beak. Struggled a bit more, then dropped to the
ground. Very soon after 1 BLUE JAY and 2 AMERICAN CROWS
came in close. One of the crows dropped to the ground by
the vulture and approached it. Appeared to maybe peck once,
then flew off. The vulture's head is still up, but it
doesn't look too good.

Any advice? Wait to see what happens? Attempt to contact a
rehabilitator? Vultures are often persecuted and I worry
this may not be the natural end of life for this bird.

Thanks,

D
