Thanks, Rick. I had the Baltimore Oriole at the feeder here in December and the RHWO today (which has returned, by the way)...If only an Evening Grosbeak would show up, I'd consider that a Hat Trick! 

Does anyone know...is the RHWO migratory? (I'm looking for any scrap of a sign of spring that I can!)

Wow! Stunning pics Fred, especially that first one in profile against the pole.  
Wish something truely nice like that would visit my feeders. I'm still chopping 
at the glacier that has become my driveway...

 A Red-headed Woodpecker showed up today, giving me some blessed relief from 
taring at the snowpack. 
The bird visited the feeder numerous times, holding its own against the 
ardinals and grackles. It took peanut halves to the nearby elm and feasted. 
After about 40 minutes, it hiked up high in the elm and that's the last I've 
een of it.
