I just got back from visiting family in Ontario County, NY.  On my way back, driving along a rural road with snow blowing across the fields, I saw two flocks of  snow buntings fly up.  Their flight reminded me of giant snowflakes, blowing along with the wind-driven snow.  Truly a beautiful sight.  There were other, larger dark birds among them, but couldn't make an ID.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Snow Buntings at Pt. Lookout, 2/18

Patty Craig phoned me yesterday to say that she had 3 Snow Buntings at Pt. Lookout near the lighthouse. Marzena Ichniowski had noted that she had 2 at the same location on the eBird Google Gadget. Marty Cribb reported some (I can't remember the number that Patty quoted) near Rt. 5 and Cornfield Harbor Road.
