After a brief two and half hour wait my daughter and I were lucky enough 
to see that stunning Painted Bunting in Bowie. (Sorry to Chris and the 
lady who left around 10-ish!!) We enjoyed one long view and several 
quick views of him before heading off for lunch. Thanks again to Dorothy 
for not only putting up with us birders but coming out to chat and for 
checking neighborhood feeders to see if the bird was nearby during our wait.

If you haven't had enough pictures of the bird I put one so-so shot up 
on my blog. I maxed out the digital zoom on our little camera and ended 
up with just the one that's only a little fuzzy. *Sigh* To have some of 
George Jett's gear!
