Hi everyone,

I spent most of the day birding in Howard and Anne Arundel Counties
and a few spots on Eastern Shore. Highlights include:

Wood Ducks -- 4 birds at Green Bridge, Howard County
Redhead -- 1 bird Arundel on the Bay
Greater Scaup -- 600 birds easily scopeable from Hemingway's
Restaurant at the base of the Bay Bridge in QA County.
Surf Scoter -- 400 birds scoped from Hemingway's
Black Scoter -- 5 birds scoped from Hemingway's
White-winged Scoter -- 1 bird scoped from Hemingway's
Scoter sp? -- 200 scoped from Hemingway's
Snow Goose -- 1200 birds observed setting down in a field off of Rt.
50. I was able to find the flock on Hailem School Rd, Talbot County.
This is the second largest flock of Snow Geese I have ever seen west
of Rt. 50 in Talbot County.
Pied-billed Grebe -- 1 bird Arundel on the Bay
American Woodcock -- 1 bird flushed from the parking area on Trotter
Rd for Middle Patuxent. The bird was sitting opposite the signs by
the gate and when I walk up it spooked and flew off into the woods.
Red-breasted Nuthatch -- 1 bird at the feeders at Patuxent NWR North
Tract, Anne Arundel County.
