Hello Maryland Birders,

Our final site-based report for Bird Blitz 2009 comes from the Tanyard
Wetlands in Caroline and Talbot Counties. Several surveys were
conducted at this site by boat, but no counts were obtained for
at-risk species which exceeded IBA thresholds. Even so, the counts
that were recorded do indicate that with more extensive survey
coverage, there are likely significant populations of several at-risk
species at this site. Further surveys are planned for this site in
