First, no observed Snowy Owl on the field this morning at the airport as 
viewed from the tower.

Second, the behavior of this bird is more in line with Barred Owl or 
even Barn Owl than Snowy, in my opinion. I have seen both of the above 
on wires at night and they can look very pale underneath when 
illuminated by artificial light.

Since there were many species of owls used for the movie, the statement 
that the bird looked just like the owl in Harry Potter doesn't narrow 
the field much. In fact, I'd like to see some of the species used for 
the movies.
