Dear All
Just a quick post to note the first raptors of the spring seen from the Audubon office at Connecticut and M Sts NW DC over lunch today. Nothing remarkable but a nice range of species including Black Vulture (30), TV (6), Peregrine (1), Bald Eagle (2-3 adults), Red-shouldered (2), Red-tailed (1), Cooper's (2) and Sharpie (1). Eight species of raptor - not bad over a chicken salad.
Also to note Dave Czaplak's fine find of a California Gull yesterday. I was hoping to check the Potomac this morning but was unable to do so (did anyone?). I might be able to check tomorrow but with all the movement going on - above - I very much doubt that the bird will have stuck. Ah well.
Cheers
