This report is from Talbot Bird Club member Jan Reese.  Today Jan observed a
flock of around 2000 Tundra Swans along Maiden Forest Road which runs
roughly parallel to Rte 50 a little ways east of Linkwood.  Many of these
birds were quite close to Maiden Forest Road.

 

Also, in that area, the wet fields within a mile from Linkwood in all
directions were heavily populated with gulls - mostly Ring-billed but always
a chance of something else being mixed in.j

 

Canada Geese of this region are gathering into huge  flocks - as if they
would be moving out quite soon.
