Steady flight most of the day; displaying local Cooper's Hawks

Tundra Swans, Canada Geese, and blackbirds in large numbers today: About
1500 swans, 1400 geese, 2400 Common Grackles, 6200 mixed blackbirds; also
about 500 scaup in the river, 6-12 Redheads, 1 Red-throated Loon, and 4
Horned Grebes

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
