Hello All,
The first shorebirds of the spring puddle season arrived yesterday 3/16. 4 Greater Yellowlegs and 3 Pectoral Sandpipers found on Oak Grove Rd. The yellowlegs were expected about now, but the Pecs are well in advance of my local early date (4/2) and a good find for the year. These birds bring my year-to-date total for Oak Grove to 76, which ties my end of March best. And I am still waiting on Tree Swallow and Laughing Gull.
Also, I saw my FOS Osprey on 3/14, another local early date.
Good birding,
