Raptor Observations: Good variety today. Our observers have had to work hard the past 3 days
searching for raptors in the blue skies.
Non-raptor Observations: The River Otter reappeared in the pond today. Four Red-throated
Loons; calling Spring Peepers and Southern Leopard Frogs; first butterfly of the season,
a probable Orange Sulphur

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
