This morning was one of those magical mornings - what birding is all about when it's really good.Dead calm conditions, light mist over the swampy marshes, partly cloudy skies, beautiful sunrise, and lots of birds.A nice array of species at Wooten's Landing park.  Can't believe I've never birded there before.  To top it off, had a fly-over NORTHERN HARRIER and at least four RUSTY BLACKBIRDS by the observation deck area.  Several FOY species as well for me, including Pine Warbler, Chipping Sparrow.
Farther up the road at Patuxent River Park, the gravel pullout by the orchard (don't know who owns this property, but it's not posted, and it's right where the county park should be) along Patuxent River Road, several WILD TURKEYS were calling around 7:20 this morning.
