Ditto what Melanie said. I have only been here one season, so they may have been more common in the past, but they are as abundant in Eastport as anywhere I've been. I have had a pair in my yard all winter and the singing has been loud and frequent for about a month now.

Perhaps folks are right and the harsher-than-usual winter made these guys move away from the interior parts of the state?
