Jay Shepard refound the Common/Green-winged Teal intergrade found last Friday by John Hubbell.
Location: Oxbow Lake
Observation date: 3/22/10
Notes: Jay Sheppard had the Common/Green-winged Teal intergrade in the scope
when I arrived and refound it again later. Look on the mud and in the water.
Best seen from the observation point directly across from Gallinule Point (the
end of the peninsula jutting out into the lake). From the entrance on Oxbow Place,
head off on the trail to the left and follow around to point directly across from
peninsula. Be sure then to make your away south around the corner from that point
to seen across to the western lake shore where the teal also like to feed.
Saw one Blue-winged Teal in with about 30 green-wings there just before
leaving this evening. Lots of Common Snipe on the mudflats.
