Last Call for Maryland 7.5 Topo Sheet Give Away
All:
I still have tons of Maryland 7.5 minute topo sheets to give away, but I
do not want to give them out a sheet at a time...rather I would like to
have someone representing a larger group who will take them to meetings
and let people paw through them....in other words, its all of them or none
of them...and because they are so heavy you need to come and pick them up
too! I know, what a grump, but free is free.
There are a number of historic quads and 15' sheets too.
Thanks

Conversation with an Oak Tree
Through all seasons - year in, year out
Tell me secrets since your birth
As you've grown tall, and gained that girth.
Oh, giant oak with open arms
And frayed gray coat so slowly grown,
How many winters have you known?
When snows lay deep through endless nights
In crisp, cold days, did life lack hue,
And had you high, happy times, too?
How many acorns have you made
For bugs, woodpeckers, deer, wild boars?
Are any of these young trees yours?
Were you sunburnt generation's
Jungle gyms and pirates' stations
Via youths' imaginations?
What have you seen in these fair hills
During your stay right here: Wild? Tame?
Please! Share your secrets. Are you game?
