We had a lovely Field Sparrow drop by our small suburban backyard around lunch time today, Saturday.  We have had them drop by occasionally but certainly not most years, so it is always a nice surprise when they stop in.  Chipping Sparrows had been showing up only as singles until today when three arrived under the feeders.  No White-throats for a couple of days now, and Dark-eyed Junco numbers have been falling.
