Highlights of some Saturday morning birding were six (!) singing
Louisiana Waterthrushes between Violette's Lock and Blockhouse point
(Maryland high count so far this year on eBird) and the continuing flock
of seven Blue-winged Teal at Hughes Hollow. A pair of Osprey have also
arrived there. Also had two Red-headed Woodpeckers. No sign of the
Rusty Blackbirds I saw there last week though.
Was hoping for Bonaparte's Gull at Violette's Lock, but there were no
gulls at all while I was there. Almost no waterfowl also.
Good birding!
